African Petroleum
Regulators Forum
One Voice.
One Standard.
The African Petroleum Regulators Forum (AFRIPERF) unites petroleum regulatory authorities across Africa to harmonise standards, share knowledge, attract investment, and build a transparent, sustainable energy future for the continent.
To enhance cooperation and collaboration among African petroleum regulators, to ensure a safe, efficient, rewarding, equitable, and sustainable petroleum industry.
Established in Accra. Anchored in Abuja.
AFRIPERF was established in September 2025 in Accra, Ghana. Spearheaded by Nigeria’s upstream petroleum regulator, the forum brings together the heads of petroleum regulatory agencies from across the continent under a single charter — the first of its kind in Africa.
“Africa’s energy future will not be determined by individual country efforts alone. It will be shaped by our collective will to align, integrate, and act with purpose. AFRIPERF is that collective will, made institutional.”
